Leapin’ Lizards II

Leapin’ Lizards were a big hit at our house yesterday!

The idea that you can make a toy in just a few minutes that actually DOES SOMETHING is delighting to children at any age!  Check out yesterday’s post for instructions and video demo: Leapin’ Lizards.  You can choose to simply print on colored card-stock or white and then color with crayons.

Another idea is to add realistic lizard texture with bubble-wrap!

Just brush your choice of color (or combination of colors) on a piece of bubble-wrap with tempera paint then press evenly onto the template print-out before cutting.

It’s that simple and the effect is very cool.  This technique definitely ups the value of your brand new hand-made toy!

  1. How do you come up with this stuff? So awesome!
Would love to use this in the kid’s class at church! .. I’d have so much fun. More than the kids probably.

    • Thanks Larissa! It’s my little designer brain at work! That’s awesome that you might use it for the kid’s class – biggest compliment!!!
