Big F, little f, words start with f…
Welcome to the third installment of my letter themed photo posts! As with the last 2 letter posts for B and R, I am featuring a font. I must say, F posed a font selection challenge. See for yourself! F is not the most attractive letter in most fonts!
I was so happy to find Eras Demi ITC which, I think, really shows off F’s best assets! It is a demi or semi bold font that would be great for poster titles. It is part of a full font family and it comes from the International Typeface Corporation, designed by a French designers, Albert Boton and Albert Hollenstein. Imagine that, there are real people, talented designers, behind the fonts we love!
One last thing before the pictures. I don’t always start with the letter! I sift through my photos in Windows Photo Gallery and pick ones I like and then look for the letter in the picture. Try this with kids! Have them come up with a word starting with a letter you pick for a photo. This is great for reinforcing letter sounds and building problem solving skills.
Now for the photos…
