I remember mornings, sitting in the kitchen, watching my mother apply Oil of Olay from a glass bottle.  It was a ritual and still a calming memory for me.  I distinctly remember the scent and when my skin became dry enough to need daily facial lotion in my 20’s, it is what I began using myself.  I’m not sure when it became just Olay but I used that forever until one magical Sunday morning when I received samples with my newspaper for Olay Total Effects.  This product had a TOTAL EFFECT on my complexion!  It tightened the skin around my eyes and it seemed to reduce pour size around my nose.  I think it also evened my skin tone.  It has been years since I started using this product and lately I have noticed it has lost some of its magical affect.  Maybe it is that my skin in now 10 years older?  NO!!!  Either way I have been eyeing the “big guns” lately at my local CVS.  And when I saw this promotion through Blogher I thought, why not now!

What’s the big guns?

My Skin Feels Younger and P&G Deals

Update:  I have been using Olay Regenerist for several days and really like it!  It truly makes my skin feel a little younger!  And the deals at the P&G Store are awesome!  Here are the specifics.  Olay Regenerist is over $30 at my local pharmacy and at the P&G Store it was $18.39 (with the instant coupon).  I got a couple other things I needed, Puff Plus with Lotion and Secret Natural Minerals (to try) to bring my total just over $25 for the free shipping.  My total was still more than $5 less than just the Olay Regenerist at my local pharmacy!

Here are some of my favorites…

Pantene Volume shampoo, Secret Invisible Solid (unscented), Gillette Venus Razor, Always, Luv’s diapers, Pampers Baby Fresh wipes, Old Spice Classic (will I recognize my husband if they ever stop making this?!), Bounty Select-A-Size (I use half as much with these!), Puffs Plus with lotion (our noses thank you P&G!), Cascade, Prilosec OTC, Vicks VapoRib

  1. Ohhh – my mom used Oil of Olay too!! She would let me use some after school plays to get off stage makeup – that scent memory is SO strong!

Right now we’re passing around a head cold in my family, so it would be wise for everyone to take out stock in Vicks & Puffs! 😉

Will check out the deal – thanks for the great post!

    • Funny how many of us remember that. I really think it is the scent memory that makes it so vivid. Thanks Charlene : )

  2. Wow, I’m glad I read this, and that there is testimonial on this product from someone I “know” and trust. I need to budget for it, but I really need something like this so will definitely be back to order it through you! xo
