Rhyming is a fun way to build early literacy skills. Try this simple game. Give your child a small box or basket and have them add thing to it that rhyme from around your house.
As a 1st grader, my favorite activity was rhyming. The teacher would pick up a card with a word on it (hat, cat, etc.) and we’d pick one to rhyme with it. It was the highlight of the day. I can totally see playing this game some time in the future .. (: Thanks for the idea, Ann. Larissa T. recently posted..Abbotsford’s 50th Annual Air-show.
