One of our favorite things to do in the White Mountains of New Hampshire is visit waterfalls. It’s really an activity that has something for everyone. You can climb challenging rock formations, simply admire the beauty and listen to the rushing water, or investigate geological curiosities. For example, look at all these pebbles wedged in the crack of this rock. I think it is kind of interesting how it illustrates the universal tendency for voids to be filled.

My son is learning about rocks lately and is so interested in geology as something to study further. I think its great.
Rocks tell great stories in their layers and they way they settle.

Nature abhors a vacuum! Or is it vacuuming? Or maybe that is just me!
