A Love Story

The snow had arrived and with it a sense of isolation set in.  He longed for a companion, one to bring warmth to his heart.  Then at the feeder he saw her.  Her bright red beak, her rusty warm color and blush wing feathers, her shy tilt, her beauty beamed.  

She saw him too.  How could you not?  His red turned fire from the sun against a pure white backdrop.  His confidence.  His smile.  It wasn’t long before this pair was sharing hearts, seeds, and dreams of spring.
