I Spy: A Cardinal on a Stop Sign

Red on red or stop on stop is my latest I SPY.  This fun one really caught my eye but also got me thinking.  I wonder if birds have their own safety system in the sky.  Do they have air traffic controllers?  Who has the right of way?  I don’t think they collide very often.  I wonder how they manage that.  Maybe we should ask.

Excuse me, Mr. Cardinal…

P.S. Thanks Safety Sign for the stop sign graphic!

  1. Cardinals are so pretty. We have them.

You know, I wonder the same thing. You hear about flocks of birds getting caught up in airplane engines. Geese i think. Bad for the plane, bad for the geese. I can’t think more of a non-“win-win” situation.

One time, while i was pregnant with my first, I was driving down the freeway – and a bird smashed right into my window. Guess that bird lacked the “stop signal”.

    Thanks so much for sharing!

    • They don’t seem to crash into each other but they do crash into planes and windows. I have seen owl decals, I wonder if they work.
