As sun rays fade,
shapes are made.

Nocturnal animals sleep during the day and are awake at night.  Animal might prefer the night because it is cooler and the night provides protection from predators.  They often have adapted special traits that enable them to get around in the dark like bigger eyes and better hearing.

I made the art for this post in the style of paper cut silhouettes.  Silhouettes occur in nature when the subject is back lit.  You can create your own silhouette images by cutting out black paper and mounting it to a lighter color with a glue stick.  Check out the awesome hand cut art of Rob Ryan for inspiration…
