125 Must Follow Moms on Instagram!

I have lots of fun with Instagram. I used to see Instagram photos on Facebook and be so intrigued. So when I got an iPhone for my birthday last year it was the first app I downloaded!

The types of photos I share…

  • Art for art sake; I have fun trying to come up with unexpected compositions.
  • Documenting my life; like funny things we notice, my kids, the things we do, and the places we go. I even documented our road trip to Florida there and back and re-posted here.
  • Identification; I like to find things especially in nature and identify them or ask for help identifying them.
  • Communication and promotion; sometimes I promote a blog post on Instagram; maybe a giveaway or craft or story I am particularly proud of.

My favorite things about Instagram…

  • Browsing and being inspired by the photos of people I follow and sharing in my friends’ adventures.
  • I like that Instagram is primarily visual because I am too.
  • The editing process; It’s fun picking just the right filter for my photos.
  • And I love squares!

So let’s connect on Instagram!

  1. This is such a great idea! I love it!

What do I like about IG? The community, what a great way to connect with people, by photos.

I also feel that my photography ‘eye’ has improved due to sharing and learning from other Instagrammers. New filters and techniques are everywhere and people are always good sharers of information.

A new filter or ‘stuff to add to your photo’ app is a good thing by me! I have to say that I rarely use the IG filters anymore.

I am looking forward to seeing everyone’s photos and meeting some lovely new people.

    • Oh me too! I think I have improved. I would love to know your favorite editing apps. You should post about it!

  2. To be honest, instagram has me baffled. I just don’t understand how people are taking such great pictures with their iphone camera.

    I just don’t get it.

I’m not an instagrammer. I’m sure there are a lot of things I just don’t understand, so many you can educate me. All the photos I take, for like my business and of my kids are on my regular camera. The only thing I could figure was to email those photos to myself and upload them to instagram. But when I tried to do that, instagram wouldn’t take them. I assume it was because of the size. But I’m to busy to be taking pictures, emailing them to myself and resizing.

Maybe you can help me figure out my malfunction.

    • I find my iPhone camera takes pretty decent pictures and the filter can enhance them. My other camera is only a point and shoot too (although I do have a nice zoom). I can tell some people share better photos not from phone cameras. Once in a while I will do it if I am promoting a bog post. Mostly though I just use Instangram as the “low” art form it is to have fun, experiment, and share.

You take awesome pictures for your blog, Lisa! That could be a way to start (if you want). The way I do it is call up my site and click on an image. Once the image url loads I press and hold to save. In Instagram you can post a photo from your phone’s library.
