Two Kids Craft Kits

Two Kids Craft Kit Review and Giveaway

Two Kids Craft Kit

We got to try out a craft kit from Two Kids Cooking and More this week. I picked the Falling Leaves Garland Kit because it came with three leaves (one for each of us to paint). Kits range in price from about $10 to $20. Check out their selection here.

The kit came in a burlap bag packed in a brown craft box. It also came with a very good instructional printout that included technique ideas and color images. The kit had everything we needed for the project including paints, brushes, wire, and fabric tags. Although I did use my own needle nose pliers to form the small locking loops at the ends of the wires.

We each enjoyed painting our leaf but when it came to adding the veins my daughter and I struggled a little achieving the detail we wanted with the brushes provided. We did come up with a clever solution of scratching in veins with the pointy end of a brush.  My son had fun inventing colors on his maple leaf with names like forange, frown, shred, slue, and shrainbow. We all decided with colors like that his belonged in the middle for sure! My kids were both looking for another leaf to paint once they were done so I guess that means they had fun. It is also nice you get to paint both side of the leaf although I recommend waiting until the first has time to dry. I must admit, painting wooden shapes is pretty satisfying and sometimes it is nice to just have a complete project on hand and ready to go.

Why not consider having a few of these craft kits to help you survive the winter. I think they would also make very nice kids’ birthday gifts.
