Party Piper

I took a walk on the beach this morning and crashed a sandpiper party. They were listening to a little John Cage. I didn’t know that sandpipers were into experimental music. We learned about John Cage and much more about classical music from the 4 disc set Story of Classical Music. In this piece he put bits of rubber, wood, and stone between the strings of his piano.  The sound is really interesting, don’t you think?

These sandpipers sure were having fun! I noticed many were standing on one leg.  Not sure if this was some sort of party game or not.
