Bamboo iPhone Case Review

I’ve Been i-ing This!

Bamboo iPhone Case

Last year I saw a bamboo iPhone case on Pinterest. It inspired me to create a whole bamboo gift list. I was really intrigued by that case but didn’t end up buying it. I already had a fully functional case and honestly I was a little cautious about trying something so different. A couple weeks ago The Snugg company approached me about reviewing a case of my choice. They had me listening when they wrote “we only contact popular and creative sites” and they had me sold when I saw they offered an all bamboo iPhone 4 case!

This is a high quality product. My old case is flexible and snaps on so I wondered how this would install. It actually comes in two parts. One piece slide up from the bottom and one down from the top. There is a tongue on the top piece that creates a friction closure. It is so simple and works beautifully. My first thought was that this is the perfect home for my iPhone. It fits its personality to a tee. My second thought was you could use it as a mini cutting board in a pinch ; )

I was wondering how it would stand up to a drop. I don’t think I could have brought myself to intentionally drop it. I don’t like to tempt fate but luckily I didn’t have to. I accidentally dropped it in the kitchen a few days ago and no damage to the case or phone. Phew!

My kids think it is super cool.  My five year old asked if I would make him one! So I guess that means it has a handcrafted look.

I received this case for free in exchange for my review. Opinions expressed in this post are my own.

    • I don’t think I would want to drop it in the street. Although you might be in trouble doing that with most cases.

  1. I use a super-boring but extremely functional Lifeproof case on my iPhone 4. I bought it used and can’t afford a replacement, so it’s my insurance policy.

That said, when I first got my phone I bought a bamboo case off eBay, because I loved the look. If I were less hard on my phone, bamboo would be my choice!

    • That would be the one down side to this case. It is pretty smooth so maybe not a good choice if you have butter fingers. Although very rubbery case bug me too because they are hard to get in and out of pockets.
