Lonely Snow Boots

lonely winter boots

We dodged puddles and stepped through mud to get to the car this morning and the windshield wipers cleared away the drizzle on the way to school. So far this winter we have had lots of dry cold and lots of wet warm. We have had only the slightest tease of snow. Snow on Cape Cod is really unpredictable. Some winters, like last year, we get lots and others none at all. My son needs new boots… Have you ever noticed that if you try and buy boots in November they don’t have them in yet but if you wait until January they are all gone? It also seems inevitable that If I buy them we will have no snow and if I don’t we will (this has really happened). And forget about running out for them during a snowstorm. I’m not crazy! So I bought him a pair yesterday online. I hope he gets to use them this winter. I hope that the snow comes on a Saturday or with a day off from school. And I hope he gets at least one additional winter out of them but that they are not so big they slip off in deep snow (this has happened too)!

Have you had snow this winter? Please share!

  1. It’s 100F! :) But I’m sure if I ever had to deal with snow and boots I would have exactly the same struggles of getting them the correct winter(s) in the correct size(s) that you are having. Hope your son’s snowboots work out very well this year!
