Yarn Hearts

Take a look around your home…  Are you feeling the Valentine’s love yet?  Is there a serious lack of hearts in sight?  What if I told you you just need 30 minutes, some left-over chunky yarn, Elmer’s glue, and plastic wrap to whip your home into shape for Cupid’s arrival (now less than 1 month away)! Baby’s Breath

"Baby's Breath" felt-tip pen on marker paper

Last night I lay down with my 3 ½ year old to help him get to sleep.  We lay facing each other and talked quietly in the dark for a while about my son’s favorite subject, toys.  In order to speed up the process I turned over to disengage with him.  He put his arm around my neck like he often does and I listened to his breathing change.  I lingered there in the bed a lot longer than was necessary.  I could feel his hot breath at my back and it was just one of those moments.
