It was love at first site when I saw this tree in my sister’s neighborhood on a post-Thanksgiving dinner walk last year. It is deciduous and a conifer. It has cones and it loses its needles in the fall which makes for quite a striking sight in the cold months. Continue reading

Patience Rewarded
Observing Mallard Ducks
We went to feed the swans yesterday and it was wasn’t so long ago I got lots of great swan pictures so I decided to focus on the ducks.
The trick to photographing ducks seems to be PATIENCE!
The ducks were very cautious, hanging back behind the swans but eventually they came a little closer. Continue reading
