I was getting a little close and this bird was looking at me!
Notice his yellow eyes are in the front like us? This gives him depth perception which is important for predators. I also noticed he has a partially eaten meal in his grasp!

Thanks to all the rain, we have been seeing lots of mushrooms lately. Isn’t this a cute little one? It think it would make a rather comfortable stool for a toad!
